NEW DELHI, June 9. / ITAR-TASS /. A gunfire between militants and army commandos resumed on Monday morning at the Jinnah airport in the largest Pakistani city of Karachi. One law enforcement officer was wounded and at least 13 people were killed, local Pakistani media reported.

According to the security officers, an explosion also occurred in one of the terminals.

At least 14 people and 10 militants had been killed in the attack on the Jinnah earlier.

According to the police, the attack was carried out at the terminal that was used to service trucks and special flights. During the attack the militants used automatic guns, hand grenades and a grenade launcher.

Pakistan's Taliban has claimed the responsibility for the assault. According to Major General of the Pakistan armed forces Rizwan Akhtar, “the militants appear to be Uzbek” from 20 to 25 years old.
