Alexander Lukashenko:Ukraine should be united state
KIEV, June 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine should be a single and united state, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Saturday after the swearing-in ceremony of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
“You’ve heard Poroshenko’s statement and I think that he will keep his word,” Lukashenko said adding that Ukraine can settle the conflict inside the country without any foreign mediators,
“The Ukrainians are hardworking and intelligent,” he said. “I am sure they will find the answers to all their problems and will do it themselves if no help comes.”
Along with this, the Belarusian president recommended the reporters to accept back in Ukraine their former President Viktor Yanukovich who was forced out of the country in late February. “I strongly advise you to welcome your president whatever he was like. Forgive him and take him back. Let him be with you,” he said.
Lukashenko underscored that he did not think the troubles in Ukraine were catastrophic and he expressed the confidence that “Poroshenko will keep his word to stabilise the situation in the country and to preserve it united.
