“Tbilisi’s attempts to pull the refugee issue into the UN General Assembly hamper discussions within the adequate format,” Russia’s Foreign Ministry says
MOSCOW, June 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Georgia’s approach towards the refugee problem in Abkhazia proves Tbilisi’s unpreparedness to hold a constructive dialogue on the long-term settlement, Russia’s Foreign Ministry says.
“On June 5 Georgia submitted a draft resolution on ‘The State of Migrants and Refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia and Tskhinval District (South Ossetia, Georgia)’ to the UN General Assembly,” the ministry says.
“Tbilisi’s attempts to pull the refugee issue into the UN General Assembly hamper discussions within the adequate format, the Geneva discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia,” it says.
