Russia calls on the Western partners to use their authority to stop the punitive operation in Ukraine, Russian diplomat says

MOSCOW, June 04./ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s high-ranking diplomat has said what has happened in Ukraine’s south-east cannot occur in Europe.

“The events in Luhansk and Sloviansk surpass all sad records,” Russia’s Foreign Ministry Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and the Supremacy of Law Konstantin Dolgov said.

He was speaking at a presentation of the White Book devoted to large-scale violations of human rights and unrests in Ukraine in late 2013 and early 2014.

“If our sources confirm that the Right Sector finished off injured people at hospitals, I’d like to hear any explanations. It is interesting what words will be chosen,” he said.

“An upgraded version of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s White Book will be made public soon. It will include the events after May 22 - the events in Mariupol, Luhansk, kidnapping and murders of journalists,” Dolgov said.
