MOSCOW, June 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Possible extension of the temporary refugee status for US whistleblower Edward Snowden, granted a year's temporary asylum in Russia, will be decided by the Federal Migration Service's operation in Moscow, Federal Migration Service Director Konstantin Romodanovsky told journalists on Tuesday.
“Snowden’s issue is a matter of a territorial subdivision and not of its head,” Romodanovsky said, adding that his subordinates would decide whether a temporary asylum for the fugitive Snowden, former contractor for the US National Security Agency, would be extended.
