Unknown persons fire at building of Donetsk regional administration from grenade launcher
There were no casualties in the incident, as the windows were not hit in the attack
DONETSK, June 2. /ITAR-TASS/. Unknown persons have fired at the building of Donetsk regional administration, where the government of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) currently resides, from a grenade launcher last night, the DNR press service told ITAR-TASS.
“According to preliminary information, (the persons) fired from a passing car. We also consider the possibility of the fire coming from an opposite house. Most probably, a grenade launcher was used,” the press service said.
There were no casualties in the incident. “Windows were not hit. Instead, a meter-thick wall was hit,” the press service noted.
The situation in the city is calm at the moment. Donetsk Mayor Alexander Lukyanchenko wrote on his website that transport, financial institutions and communal services were working in a usual mode.
