LUHANSK, May 30. /ITAR-TASS/. The press service of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic has disproved reports suggesting that four observers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) have been detained in Ukraine’s Luhansk region.

“Four observers, including a Russian, yesterday arrived in Severodonetsk. They were warmly welcomed there and showed everything,” the press service’s head told ITAR-TASS on Friday. According to him, in the evening of May 29, the observers decided to stay, because it was not safe to leave the city during the dark hours. “They feel well, have not complained about anything,” the press centre added.

Several previous media reports suggested that a group of OSCE observers comprising four people had been detained in the Luhansk region.
