KIEV, May 29 /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine's National Guard said it has rebuffed an attack on a military unit in the Luhansk region late on Wednesday.

"The attackers retreated after their attempt to seize a National Guard unit failed," the press service of National Guard reported on Thursday. It said National Guard servicemen did not suffer any casualties.

No details of the shootout were immediately available.
