French frigate Surcouf to enter Black Sea soon

Another French warship Dupuy de Lome entered the Black Sea in mid-May

PARIS, May 28./ITAR-TASS/. France sent a frigate Surcouf to the Black Sea. The ship will arrive on the scene in the nearest time, the source in the main headquarters of the armed forces of France said.

“The presence of Surcouf in the region will pass the standards of international law,” he added.

Another French warship Dupuy de Lome entered the Black Sea in mid-May. The ship was designed to perform intelligence functions and equipped to intercept all types of signals.

Surcouf with 150 people on the board has a displacement of 3.6 tons and can reach the speed of 25 knots. This type of ships designed for patrolling and safety of navigation. Much attention was given to their low radar signature during engineering process, which was achieved through using Stealth technology.
