Voter turnout in Ukraine’s presidential polls barely reaches 10% in Donetsk region

KIEV, May 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Voter turnout in the snap presidential elections that are taking place in Ukraine of Sunday did not exceed ten percent in the southeastern Donetsk region as of 16:00 Moscow time, the Central Election Commission said.

According to the latest data, voter turnout in the Donetsk region was 9.11%. The biggest turnout as reported from the Volyn region (50.49%), Lviv region (46.23%), and the Kiev region — 42.79%

The country’s average turnout as of 12:00 GMT was 38.53%. At the previous presidential elections in Ukraine in 2010, the voter turnout as of 12:00 GMT time was more than 45%.
