KIEV, May 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Serhiy Tihipko, a member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (parliament) and candidate for Ukrainian president in today’s snap elections, said on Sunday he saw the top-priority task for the new president in establishing peace in the country.

“These elections are being held in a tense atmosphere and the top-priority task for the new president will be the soonest establishing of peace in the country,” he said while voting at a polling station in Kiev.
