UNITED NATIONS, May 24 (Itar-Tass) - The June 30 deadline to destroy Syrian chemical weapons is unlikely to be met, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has said.
It is clear that the operation to destroy Syrian chemical weapons will continue after June 30, he said in a report to the U.N. Security Council.
The Syrian chemical weapons program was to be completely destroyed by June 30.
