BANGKOK, May 23, 6:44 /ITAR-TASS/. Thailand’s former prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra, and also members of her family and former government ministers and advisers have been ordered to report to the country’s new military authorities, as follows from an instruction the Peace and Order Maintaining Command issued last night.

There are 23 names on the list, mostly those of the country’s former senior officials. The why reason why these people have been told to appear at the military headquarters remains unclear.

Yingluck Shinawatra was removed from office by Thailand’s Constitutional Court early this month. According to local mass media, several days before the military coup she was seen in Cambodia. Whether she has returned to Thailand since is unknown.

Another POMC order issued last night obliges Internet providers to prevent the proliferation of rumours, falsehoods and calls for munity in the social networks. After the military command suspended television and radio broadcasting the social networks have become one of the main sources of information for the country’s people.

On May 22, the POMC, which had ousted Thailand’s interim government, declared that it assumed all powers in the country. Its leader, General Prayuth Chan-ocha, has several deputies - other senior military officials and the head of the national police. The operation of the Constitution is suspended. One of the first orders by the new military authorities was to outlaw the carrying of firearms and impose a night-time curfew from 22:00 to 05:00 local time.
