KIEV, May 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine wants to develop “equal relations” with Russia, Ukraine’s parliament-appointed premier Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.
“Ukraine’s eastern regions are dependent on the Russian market,” Yatsenyuk said at the “roundtable for national unity” on Wednesday.
“We only demand bilateral agreements should be signed,” he said.
Yatsenyuk called for complying with these agreements.
Ukraine is ready for new talks in Geneva within the Ukraine-US-EU-Russia format, he said.
“In order to have relationship with Russia we call for resuming it within the quadripartite format. Then let’s see,” he said.
“However, before meeting we need to know what we agree on. These meetings shouldn’t be used to show political positions,” Yatsenyuk said.
