Russia, China to hold joint events on WWII Victory 70th anniversary

SHANGHAI, May 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and China will hold joint festivities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory over German Nazism and Japanese militarism and will continue to counteract attempts at falsifying history, Presidents of Russia and China Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping said in a joint statement adopted upon results of their talks in the Chinese city of Shanghai on Tuesday.

“Russia and China will hold joint events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory over German Nazism and Japanese militarism at European and Asian theaters of war of the Second World War (WWII) and will continue decisive counteraction to attempts at falsifying history and undermining post-war world order,” the document runs.
