MOSCOW, May 19./ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday to discuss the situation in Ukraine, including due to the presidential elections scheduled for May 25.

“Putin and Merkel expressed hope that the Kiev authorities and the regions would continue the constitutional reform and the dialogue in compliance with the OSCE ‘roadmap’,” the Kremlin press service says.
