MOSCOW, May 15. /ITAR-TASS/. Two journalists of the RT’s video agency Ruptly have come under fire near the city of Kramatorsk, in eastern Ukraine, the Russia Today television channel reports on its website.

The shooting was opened from two Ukrainian APCs for no apparent reason.

Ruptly’s team said that a crew of the St. Petersburg TV network, Channel 5, was also in the same car. Lucky, the bullets did not hit the vehicle.

That was not the only shooting incident near Kramatorsk in the past two days.

Earlier on Thursday, Ukraine’s army opened fire at civilian cars near the village of Starovarvarovka, killing three people and wounding another three.

A representative for the Kramatorsk militia force told ITAR-TASS on Thursday that a family was returning home on a country road in one of the cars when the shooting started. The soldiers did not allow the people to get out. A woman who received two bullet wounds in her head died.

Two more vehicles, including a microbus and another light car, with local residents returning from a fishing trip, also came under fire. As a result, two young men in the microbus were killed. The light car was also ridden with bullets fired from small arms and large-caliber weapons. After the attack, the Ukrainian troops approached the microbus and drove it away to the territory of their military unit.

The wounded managed to escape. The local residents hid them in their homes. The Kiev-loyal National Guard fighters searched for them in the nearby populated localities for several hours.

In the evening of May 14, a column of 10 armored vehicles escorted by helicopters entered the village of Solntsevo, near Starovarvarovka, where intensive shooting, including large-caliber weapons, could be heard for the next thirty minutes.

Ukraine’s acting President and parliamentary Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov, told a parliamentary meeting on Thursday that Ukraine’s army units and security forces had fully destroyed a camouflaged militia military base near Kramatorsk.
