European Commission supports Moldova’s request for bigger export of vegetables, fruits
Barroso also said that Moldovan winemakers received full-fledged access to the European market for their produce last September
BRUSSELS, May 15. /ITAR-TASS/. European Commission has supported Moldova’s request for increasing its export quotas for some vegetables and fruit, commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said Thursday after talks with Moldovan Prime Minister Iurie Leanca.
He said he had informed Leanca on the European Commission’s positive response to the request to increase the exports of vegetables and fruit, adding that the Moldovan proposals would be handed over to the EU member-states.
Barroso also said that Moldovan winemakers received full-fledged access to the European market for their produce last September.
European Commission members held a conference with Moldovan government official last in Brussels Thursday in the format of preparations for the signing of an agreement on association between Moldova and the EU.
