Russia proposes to use CSTO anti-drug resources in special operations
This is a type of operation which changes cardinally an infrastructure and logistic system of world drug production and global drug trafficking
MOSCOW, May 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Head of the Federal Drug Control Service Viktor Ivanov proposed to use resources of the recently-created centre of anti-drug operations of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) states in special operations of the anti-drug agencies in the Central Asian quartet.
“I also find it expedient in our further work to focus on planning and conducting Strategic Anti-Narcotics Operations (SANO),” Ivanov said.
In his words, this is a type of operation which changes cardinally an infrastructure and logistic system of world drug production and global drug trafficking according to its target result and scale.
“Russia is also prepared to involve the recently-formed CSTO centre of anti-drug operations in SANO to operate on the basis of Russia’s Federal Service for Control over Drug Circulation, but includes representatives of all CSTO states,” Ivanov noted.
