Donetsk region to hold referendum on joining Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

A similar plebiscite will take place in Luhansk region
DONETSK, May 1. /ITAR-TASS/. Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine on May 11 will hold a referendum on accession of several districts and populated localities of these regions into the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine’s UNN news agency reported on Thursday.
“The Interregional Council of territorial communities set up today has begun to consider multiple addresses of leadership of local administrations in Luhansk and Donesk regions to the leadership of Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration on including particular districts and inhabited localities of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts into Dnipropetrovsk region,” the agency quoted Boris Filatov, deputy head of Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration for domestic policy.
