MOSCOW, April 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Moscow is awaiting explanations from the Ukrainian and German authorities in connection with mass media reports on possible supplies of Ukrainian small arms to Syria’s bellicose oppositionist militants, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a commentary Tuesday.

“News media have reported the information on supplies of semiautomatic small arms of Ukrainian manufacture to Germany,” the commentary said. “The reports indicated that the likelihood of its further use by Bundeswehr was very small and the Syrian rebels were named as the possible consignees.”

“We expect clarifications from Ukraine and Germany as to who will be the eventual recipient of these supplies of weaponry,” the ministry said.
