LifeNews TV channel crew detained in Donetsk

The journalists were roped and taken away in an unknown direction, the message on the TV channel’s website says

MOSCOW, April 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Unidentified people have detained in Donetsk the shooting crew of Russia’s LifeNews TV channel, journalist Yulia Pustoplesnova (Shustraya) and cameraman Mikhail Pudovkin, according to the TV outlet’s website.

“According to federalization supporters, the TV crew was attacked by 30 masked people, when it was on the way to record an interview with activist Topaz,” the message says. “The journalists were roped and taken away in an unknown direction. Federalization supporters claim that Ukraine’s Security Service Ukrainian servicemen are behind the disappearance.”

One of the eyewitnesses told the TV channel that “gunmen put the journalists on their knees and then took them away”. According to LifeNews, the Donetsk department of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry doesn’t hold any information about the incident.
