Kiev well aware of task to fight corruption — Yatsenyuk

KIEV, April 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine needs real reforms and efficient fight against corruption, parliament-appointed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk told a news conference on Tuesday.
The Ukrainian authorities realize “that money is allocated only to these countries that wage successful war against corruption,” he noted. “Real fight against corruption is one of the main tasks facing the government and the president that will be elected on May 25,” the prime minister said.
Earlier, US Vice President Joseph Biden expressed hope at a meeting with Yatsenyuk that Ukraine would receive a package of financial aid from the International Monetary Fund. He also said the US was ready to help the Ukrainian leadership, noting however that anti-corruption fight was the main task for the present authorities.
