OSCE Mission, Ukrainian top diplomat discuss Geneva agreement implementation

KIEV, April 21. /ITAR-TASS/. The OSCE Monitoring Mission and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry have discussed the implementation of the agreement reached at last week’s four-party talks on Ukraine held in Geneva.

“Acting Foreign Minister Andrii Deshchytsia and head of the OSCE Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Ertogrul Apakan exchanged information on the steps taken by the Ukrainian authorities and the Mission in pursuance of the Geneva agreement,” the ministry said.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Ukrainian Interior Ministry and the Security Service who “provided information and answered questions”, the ministry said.

The foreign ministers of Russia, the United States, the European Union, and Ukraine adopted a statement on de-escalation of tensions in Ukraine at their meeting in Geneva on Thursday, April 17. The statement urged all parties to refrain from violence, intimidation and provocative actions.
