Curfew announced in Ukraine's Sloviansk
The measure is introduced due to the provocation that took place overnight from Saturday to Sunday at the outskirts of Sloviansk, where one person died and three more were injured
KIEV, April 21. /ITAR-TASS/. A curfew has been announced in the Ukrainian city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk Oblast, the city’s people’s mayor Vyacheslav Ponomorev said.
Local media reported that the curfew is imposed from midnight to 6.00 am. The measure is introduced due to the provocation that took place overnight from Saturday to Sunday at the outskirts of Sloviansk, where one person died and three more were injured.
Attack on block post
Overnight to Sunday, unidentified persons attacked one of the block posts in the northern part of Sloviansk. The General Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said that attackers arrived in four cars. The directorate reported that three people were killed and three more injured in the shoout-out.
According to Ponomarev, two people from the self-defense forces were killed on the spot. Another person dies in hospital. Three people received injuries of various degrees. Ponomarev said that two people were killed and five more injured in retaliatory fire.
The assailants had documents that prove their involvement with the Right Sector. In particular, one of the attackers had a Right Sector identity tag.
