Ukraine’s new deputy security chief never represented Ukraine at CIS Anti-Terror Center
MOSCOW, April 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Vasily Krutov, the first deputy head of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) and the head of the SBU Anti-Terror Center, has never been Ukraine’s authorised representative at the CIS Anti-Terror Center.
“The CIS Anti-Terror Center informs that media reports saying that Vasily Krutov used to be Ukraine’s authorised representative at the CIS Anti-Terror Center are not true. Krutov has never been employed by the CIS Anti-Terror Center and has never been Ukraine’s authorized representative ever since the CIS Anti-Terror Center was founded in 2000,” the center’s press office said on Thursday.
On April 14, Ukraine’s Acting President and Parliament Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov appointed Vasily Krutov as the head of the Anti-Terror Center set up under Ukraine’s Security Service and the first deputy head of Ukraine’s Security Service in a recent personnel reshuffle at Ukraine’s Security Service and the national Anti-Terror Center.
