Presidential candidates disagree over methods of struggle for Ukrainian unity
The idea of creating a national resistance movement was announced by Poroshenko's rival in the presidential race Yulia Tymoshenko
KIEV, April 16. /ITAR-TASS/. A proposal made by leader of Batkivshchyna party Yulia Tymoshenko to establish public resistance headquarters might provoke further destabilization of the situation in Ukraine, presidential candidate Petro Poroshenko declared at the Ukrainian Rada on Wednesday.
Poroshenko said he is confident that the early presidential election scheduled for May 25 will take place. "Only the Ukrainian people can decide when and where the election should be held," Poroshenko said.
The Ukrainian authorities have all possibilities for stabilization of the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Poroshenko declared.
The idea of creating a national resistance movement was voiced by Poroshenko's rival in the presidential race Yulia Tymoshenko on Tuesday. Tymoshenko claimed that the formation of the units of the resistance movement has already begun in the Kharkiv, Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
