DONETSK, April 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Unidentified attackers wearing masks have rampaged in the building of the social maintenance office in Horlivka, Donetsk Region, the Horlivka City Council reported.

According to the Council, the incident happened "on April 15 after 21:00", local time. "Five masked men forced their way into the building which houses the City Council's social maintenance office. The men were armed, eye-witnesses said," the City Council pointed out, specifying that "Doors were broken down and all phone sets were smashed". "Supposedly, the attackers were looking for weapons. The person on duty in the building was not hurt but she is in a state of stress," the Council report says.

Law enforcement personnel were called to the scene.

On April 14, protesters from among supporters of Ukraine's federalization had brought under their control the Horlivka townhall and appointed Alexander Sapunov to be new head of the city. The flag of the Donetsk People's Republic was hoisted above the city administration building.
