CAIRO, April 15. /ITAR-TASS/. Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the fact of kidnapping of its ambassador to Libya Fawaz al-Itan. According to Al Jazeera TV channel, the diplomat was captured in the morning by a group of unidentified people.
The ambassador has been attacked when leaving the residence, representative of Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Said Laswad said. Unidentified people in masks, who were in two cars, opened gunfire at the diplomat's car, the ministry's representative said. The ambassador's driver was wounded and brought to hospital.
