US Vice President Biden to visit Ukraine April 21-22
During the visit, Joe Biden is planning to hold consultations in order to help stabilize and strengthen the Ukrainian economy as well as help Ukraine carry out constitutional reform, a spekesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry says
KIEV, April 14. /ITAR-TASS/. US Vice President Joe Biden will visit Ukraine on April 21-22, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Yevgen Perebyinis said on Monday, April 14.
The United States “has expressed interest in holding meetings” between Biden and parliament-appointed Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov and parliament-appointed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
“During the visit, Joe Biden is planning to hold consultations in order to help stabilize and strengthen the Ukrainian economy as well as help Ukraine carry out constitutional reform, fight corruption and conduct fair and honest presidential elections on May 25,” the spokesperson said.
“The vice president is also planning to discuss the latest events in the east of Ukraine and steps aimed at strengthening energy security,” Perebyinis said.
