ISLAMABAD, April 09. /ITAR-TASS/. At least 23 have been killed and more than 30 injured in an explosion at the market in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, the media reported on Wednesday.
An explosive device could have been operated remotely. The police have arrested a suspect in on the scene.
No group has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack. The authorities suspect extremist groups of trying to jeopardize negotiations between Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the Taliban. Earlier, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan organization announced ceasefire for the period of negotiations with Islamabad. The ceasefire ends on April 10.
