Head of Iranian national air carrier leaves for Vienna for talks with P5+1
VIENNA, April 09, /ITAR-TASS/. Farhad Parvaresh, CEO of the Iranian national air carrier IranAir, has left by air for Vienna for talks with P5+1 to discuss the lifting of sanctions in the aviation sector, a source in the Iranian delegation told ITAR-TASS on Tuesday.
"The CEO has left for Vienna for talks, for it is probable that the sides will be able to reach agreement on the lifting of sanctions against the Iranian aviation sector," the source said.
Early this week, the American corporations Boeing and the General Electric obtained a permission from the US Department of the Treasury for deliveries of spare parts to Iran, as well as for capital repairs of old aircraft engines. However, this refers so far to the spares for airliners sold to Iran prior to the revolution of 1979.
