PARIS, April 8. /ITAR-TASS/. The Ukrainian crisis “forces NATO to review its defense plans”. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen commented this to journalists on Tuesday.

“We have all plans in place to ensure effective defense and protection of our allies,” Rasmussen told journalists.

At the same time, Rasmussen noted it would be premature to speak of a possible military response if Russia moved into Ukraine’s east, calling on Moscow to pull back “tens of thousands of troops” on the borders with Ukraine.

NATP Secretary General arrived in Paris for talks with French President Francois Hollande. The meeting is due Tuesday evening.
