Two representatives of Crimean Tatars appointed to republic's government

SIMFEROPOL, April 04. /ITAR-TASS/. The Crimean State Council on Friday approved the appointment of two representatives of Crimean Tatars, Zaur Smirnov and Lenur Islyamov, to the Crimean government.
Smirnov is confirmed as acting chairman of the republic's committee for affairs of interethnic relations and deportees, and Islyamov as acting deputy prime minister of the republic. They were approved by a vote of 74.
"People will be appointed according to professional criteria. We pursue a consistent policy in this," State Council Chairman Vladimir Konstantinov said.
