BISHKEK, April 03. /ITAR-TASS/. The parliament of Kyrgyzstan on Thursday, April 3, voted to support the nomination of Dzhoomart Otorbayev as the new prime minister of the country.

103 MPs voted for the competition and structure of the new government, 7 were against, the parliament press service said.

Taiyrbek Sarpashev became first deputy prime minister; Valery Dil, Elvira Sariyeva and Abdarakhman Mamataliyev will be deputy prime ministers. The latter will oversee security, defence and law enforcement.

“The parliament resolution will enter into force after it has been signed by President Almazbek Atambayev,” the press service said.

The candidates to the new government were nominated by the parliamentary majority composed of the Ata Meken (Fatherland), Ar Namys (Dignity) and Social Democratic parties.

The previous government, in which Otorbayev was deputy prime minister, resigned two weeks ago over displeasure with its work expressed by most of the MPs.
