KIEV, April 03. /ITAR-TASS/. More than 30 people were involved in the shooting that resulted in casualties in the center of the Ukrainian capital of Kiev on February 20, Ukrainian Interior Minister appointed by Ukraine’s parliament Verkhovna Rada Arsen Avakov told a news conference in the Ukrainian capital on Thursday.
“There were much more of them,” he added. “They were officers of the country’s Interior Ministry, Security Service and others,” acting Ukrainian Prosecutor General Oleg Makhnitsky noted.
Investigation of the Kiev shooting case is divided in several parts, Avakov said.
First part of investigation is shooting “with the use of sniper rifles,” he said. “Second episode is shooting from automatic and semiautomatic firearms,” he noted, adding that third case was provocative acts staged by young rioters at civil actions and fourth case resulted in death of law enforcers.
“Now investigation is at its first stage,” Avakov noted.
