GENEVA, April 02. /ITAR-TASS/. The government of Switzerland has imposed restrictions on financial transactions on the territory of the Swiss Confederation for 33 Russian officials who were already subjected to EU sanctions in connection with Russia's position on Ukraine.
The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland specified that Switzerland has taken measures, rather than sanctions, to ensure that the EU sanctions should not be avoided.
The Swiss restrictions will go into force at 8.00 pm Moscow time Wednesday.
