UN resolution "warns" Latvia on linguistic minority rights — Russia's Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW, March 28. /ITAR-TASS/. The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has demanded that Latvia safeguards the rights of stateless persons and linguistic minorities, Russia's Foreign Ministry says.

“The UN decision is based on Latvia’s obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights,” Foreign Ministry Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and the Supremacy of Law Konstantin Dolgov wrote on a Twitter microblog on Friday.
