British coroner fails to state cause of Russian tycoon Berezovsky’s death

LONDON, March 27 /ITAR-TASS/. A British coroner has issued an open verdict on the death of Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky who was found dead in his house not far from London in March of last year.

Coroner Peter Bedford said on Thursday, March 27, that he could not say how Berezovsky had died.

The 67-year-old businessman was found dead in March 2013 in his house near Ascot, west of London, where was living at that time. A length of black cashmere scarf was wrapped around his neck and another length was tied around a shower rail above his head.

Berezovsky was buried at Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey County on May 8, 2013.
