LONDON, March 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Clashes between relatives of passengers of the missing Boeing 777 of Malaysian Airlines and police officers took place in Beijing on Tuesday. According to Reuters news agency, dozens of people were involved in the unrest near the Malaysian embassy.

Members of families of the missing Boeing passengers that gathered near the diplomatic mission’s house demanded from the air carrier and Malaysian government trustworthy information about the plane’s fate.

People began to gather at nearly 11:00 local time (03:00 GMT) before the gates of the diplomatic mission, when Tuesday’s daily conversation with the air carrier’s representatives with the families of the passengers did not take place at the scheduled time.

The protesters held posters saying “Return our relatives”; the crowd was yelling “Explain to us what happened to the plane.” Some of the participants of the rally were throwing bottles with water to police officers that cordoned off the embassy.

A relative of one of the passengers told ITAR-TASS correspondent that she was “in an awful state, practically not eating or sleeping at all”. “We demand from Malaysia explanations of what has happened,” the woman said.

Boeing-777-200 was flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crewmembers on board on March 7. Contact with it was lost about two hours after its departure from the Malaysian capital. On Monday, Malaysian Airlines issued a statement that all passengers that were onboard that plane died.
