National Geographic to mark Crimea as part of Russia

NEW YORK, March 19. /ITAR-TASS/ Specialists of the US National Geographic Society " National Geographic " plan to mark on their maps Crimea as part of Russia, Bloomberg agency reported.
Juan Valdez, society chief geographer substantiated it that after the ratification of the Crimea-Russia reunification treaty by the Russian parliament. Crimea and Sevastopol officially become part of Russia.
"I have to monitor the situation in the world in order to guarantee that the maps reflect the current reality, whatever it is," said Valdez.
March 18 Russian President Vladimir Putin, head of the Republic of Crimea’s State Council Vladimir Konstantinov, the Republic’s Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov and Sevastopol’s Mayor Aleksei Chalyi signed the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea on the Accession of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation and Formation of New Subjects in the Russian Federation. The Russian President also asked the Russian parliament to ratify this document.
