EU decides on visa ban and asset freeze against 21 Russia, Ukraine officials

Additional measures of pressure against Russia could be considered at the EU summit

BRUSSELS, March 17. /ITAR-TASS/. The European Union made the decision on Monday on a visa ban and an asset freeze against 21 Russian and Ukrainian officials, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius said.

Officially, the list will become known only after publishing in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Linkevicius also said additional measures of pressure against Russia could be considered at the EU summit on March 20-21, adding they could involve an expansion of the “black list” and a possible embargo on supplies of weapons to Russia.
