SIMFEROPOL, March 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s State Duma member Oleg Denisenko, currently in Crimea, said he has noticed nothing that might look like a boycott of the plebiscite by the Crimean Tatars.
“At the polling stations I have visited there were no such instances,” he said while answering media questions.
Denisenko kept an eye on the operation of electoral commissions in Bakhchisarai, one of the areas with a predominantly Tatar population.
“I had a chance to meet people in Simferopol and in Bakhchisarai. I have heard nothing of anything like a boycott or calls against voting,” he said.
