According to another version, the displays could be switched off due to power systems failure

LOS ANGELES, March 14. /ITAR-TASS/. Both systems of communication with flight operation officers on missing Boeing 777-200 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing were consecutively switched off before the plane allegedly changed tack, US-based CBS TV channel reported on Thursday.

The report said experts close to the matter did not exclude this had been made intentionally.

At the same time, an American expert in aviation safety Chesley Sullenberger expressed a view that the systems could be consecutively switched off only in case of all onboard power systems’ failure. In this situation, the switching off of unrelated systems occurs under the domino principle.

Communication with Malaysian Airlines’ plane carrying 227 passengers and 12 crewmembers onboard was lost two hours after its departure from Malaysian capital March 7.

At present, several countries are investigating possible causes of the disappearance of Boeing 777. In particular, a version drafted by American experts in aviation safety that obtained data about the engine’s operation says that the airliner could be in the air for 4 or 5 hours after the connection was lost.

In the search for the missing plane are currently taking part air and naval forces of Malaysia, China, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and the USA.
