West should not frighten Belarus for backing Russia’s policy — Lukashenko

Belarus will meet the interests of the state, its friends, neighbours and allies

MINSK, March 12. /ITAR-TASS/. President Alexander Lukashenko said the West should not frighten Belarus with possible consequences if the country supported Russia’s policy, including on Ukraine’s issue.

“If the West wants to frighten us, this is cheap. I want to stress one more: we’ll act exclusively in compliance with the legal base that exists between Russia and Belarus,” Lukashenko said.

“I’ve said several times: we’re Slavs and we’ll be together forever. We’ll meet the interests of our state and our friends, our neighbours and allies,” the Belarusian president said.
