YEKATERINBURG, March 03. /ITAR-TASS/. A flight attendant of Russia’s Urals Airlines, who fell from an aircraft at Dubai International Airport when the plane collided with a catering service car, could not be airlifted back to Russia yet, doctors at Dubai’s Al Rashid Hospital said.

The accident happened on February 17 when the plane was being prepared for departure from Dubai, capital of the United Arab Emirates, to Perm, a city in the Russian Urals. The plane was slightly damaged and a commission had been investigating.

“Marina Zhelyamova, who has had several operations, is continuing treatment at the hospital,” the air carrier’s press service told Itar-Tass on Monday. “She is recovering, but doctors at Al Rashid Hospital do not consider the airlift to Russia possible, fearing for her health. As soon as doctors allow us to take our employee back, she will be hospitalized for further treatment and rehabilitation in Russia. We create all conditions for her comfortable medical treatment abroad.”

The plane damaged in the accident has been undergoing repairs at Dubai International Airport, the press service says.

“We still lodge no claims to the airport’s service,” the press service said. “The sum of damage done is being calculated. We will have our final say after an investigation is completed.”
