ROSTOV ON DON, February 28. /ITAR-TASS/. East Ukraine will rise when factories stop, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych told a news conference.

“I want to say on behalf of Ukraine’s east. I lived there over 52 years. I understand mentality of this people very well. Until people work at plants, mines and until they receive wages they won’t leave anywhere,” Yanukovych said.

“As soon as plants stop and as soon as people turn out to be without means of support East Ukraine, industrial Donbass will rise,” he said.

“Then I envy nobody who will turn up by chance,” Yanukovch said.
