The president accused the defense minister of bad management and lack of discipline in the army that led to several suicides in some military units

CHISINAU, February 27. /ITAR-TASS/. Moldova’s Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta has resigned after a session of the ministry’s board with participation of President Nikolae Timofti. Presidential spokesperson told journalists that there was a heated argument at the session.

“The president accused the defense minister of bad management and lack of discipline in the army that led to several suicides in some troop commands,” the spokesperson said.

The petition on minister’s dismissal has been already signed by Moldova’s Prime Minister Iurie Leancă, his spokesperson Liliana Vitu reported.
