Armenia seeks to develop military, political ties with Russia-led security block

YEREVAN, February 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Armenia seeks to develop political and military components of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO), secretary of the Armenian National Security Council Artur Bagdasaryan said.

“Cooperation with the CSTO develops in all directions,” Bagdasaryan said.

“The strengthening of the military component has big significance for Armenia. The CSTO is a military-political union and Armenia is one of its key participants,” the National Security Council secretary said.

Armenia “takes an active part in discussions, signed and ratified several agreements in this field”, he added.
