3 killed, 28 wounded after blast in north-eastern Thailand

The explosion took place near a Buddhist temple

BANGKOK, February 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Three people were killed and 28 wounded as a result of grenade explosion near a Buddhist temple in north-eastern Thailand on Tuesday, according to the country’s Public Healthcare Ministry.

According to preliminary reports, the explosion occurred in the Roi Et province in the morning, when many people gathered around the temple. Local police says that the suspects are a group of adolescents standing not far from the incident site in the moment of the explosion. Motives of the crime are not commented yet.

North-eastern Thailand is not included in the territories controlled by opposition, which strives for government’s resignation.
